Default backlinks
Umm, I've been using SEO Elite and have been looking at competitors backlinks to see the kind of quantity and quality of links coming into their homepage and other pages within their site and it has usually been a fairly low number. I've also looked at this site and again, not many links on competitor sites.

I then go to Yahoo Site Explorer and find they have thousands of incoming links.

How come? Is anything out there near enough accurate?

SEO depends on many factors for SERPs.
Try to suggest Unique and good contents for your site and concentrate on quality back links.

Jus to concentrate only the basice sof the SEO like good content, regular update, quality backlinks. These are some basic things which increase the PR of the site.

Google don't show some of the back links of the site.If you want to see some of there back link try to use tool like backlinkswatch.com or rankalert.net.

i haven't use that elite tools but i believe it is a good one. hope can get a chance to use it someday. yahoo explorer show all links while i believe that elite tools only show link that would effect PR. they may not show nofollow link. why not call their support for clarification.

Local link is a link with a relevance site while Global link is the link from forum and directory.
