How to improve SEO

Hi,
I am working a website related to search engine optimization, using WP CMS. I have been working for over a month now and still my keyword are no where to be found. Can some on help me or suggest something what I should do in order to get better results.

The first thing that I notice is that you have your Google analytics script in Java right at the top of the page. This should be at the bottom of the page.

Also the last text that a search engine sees as it leaves your site helps determine what your site is about. In your case it is this:

"Meta Register Login Entries RSS Comments RSS Wordpress Design by Beccary and Weblogs.us · XHTML · CSS"

Not very targeted towards SEO I am afraid.

You should also separate your title definitions both in your title tags and in you H1 tags: <h1><a href="http://www.howseoworks.com">Search Engine Optimization-How SEO Works</a></h1>
Having a dash in between the bolded fields ties these words together and I seriously doubt that people would actually search for that term exactly how you have it showing in the title and H1

Since you are targeting a very competitive field, you arre going to need a ton of high power links to get traction. Your site is already showing at over 2 years old so that is a good start since the age of a site is important.

Try to submit your links on different link directories.
