You can use blog networking, forum posting ( be careful with this one ), link building by article submission, directory submission, launching a PPC.

the best promotion you in your blog is your content... if you create a meaningful and a content with sense,, many of the readers/visitors will link and promote your blog...

Same here, using this techniques and in addition I submit it on blog directories too. A good on-page optimization will be another factor!
